What do you enjoy about working in special education? Figuring out ways to make “the system” work better for kids. While I love working directly with middle school-aged students I feel like I can make a bigger difference for them over time by supporting districts in systemic improvement.
What do you love about working in Detroit? I’ve always enjoyed Saturday mornings at Eastern Market as well as the theaters, and now there are so many great, new restaurants popping up. There’s a big-city energy that’s really growing in Detroit, but there’s also a hometown feel that you just don’t find elsewhere.
